Service regularly and make sure the V-155 clamps are clean and the gripping material surface is clean and free of defects
Aging and wear will reduce the friction of the gripping material and it should be cleaned regularly, replace when called for. If this is not the case, then the Cam brass pin needs to be adjusted.
This is done with 3/16 Allen wrench supplied with gripper, insert Allen wrench in the set screw on either side of tip of grip handle near the side plates and tighten as needed to get maximum grip with handle halfway up swing. If handle is all the way up striking side plates, then stop using and make adjustment and lightly grease ramp on side plates.
The 3/8” Allen set screws are self- locking style which stay put after adjustment and remain tight. If set screws are loose, do not use and replace with new OEM setscrew from Nupro-Products LLC.
The Rubber Grips should be replaced with OEM grips when wear is evident. The grips are an important part of the V-155 and should be kept clean and intact,
Using non OEM grips or improperly maintained grips could result in injury or product damage.

Product purpose and description:
The V-155 is compression grip tool used to manually lift and carry loads in a ergonomically safe and efficient manner.
The V-155 is designed as an ergonomic aid for two person lift and should only be used in compliance with any local or company rules or policies.
Manually lifting the grip to provide clamping force ratios of approx. 6 to 1 given all conditions are met.
The clamping force of the V-155 is approximately 750 lbs. The lift handle, ramps on side plates brass rub pins provide a means to maximize gripping force.
The clamp side plates make surface contact and apply pressure to substrate to make it easy to lift and move the substrate to a desired location. Attached to the side clamping plates is an anti-slip abrasive material bonded on to create friction and aid the gripping process.
Once the handle grip is pushed down (loosened) the clamping pressure is released and the device is disengaged completely.
Maximum Weight Capacity:
The V-155 Maximum Weight Capacity of a single unit is 150lbs, and includes a 2:1 safety factor.
When two V-155 are used in tandem conjunction the lift is 300 lbs.
Safe uses require the following conditions:
Clamping of clean, smooth, surface area with a full contact on gripping area.
The weight rating is based on tests of the V-155 attached to .080 +or –vinyl nail flange or aluminum flange nail fin of .060 +or- thickness when adjusted accordingly
The test unit are picked up in vertical orientation and under ideal conditions.
Many factors can impact the lifting capacity of the V-155. These factors include but are not limited to: Wear and tear, abuse, lack of routine maintenance, using non OEM replacement parts, lifting inappropriate materials, contamination.
This tool doesn’t eliminate the need to use common sense

Surface and Environmental Conditions:
Use the V-155 on clean and relatively smooth surfaces, Temperature should not impede the function of the V-155 but temperature can affect the substrates. Be sure to understand the properties of the substrate to be gripped and lifted before attempting to use v-155 to avoid damage.
Moisture or contaminants can reduce the slip resistance of the V-155. The V-155 may be used at any elevation.
Be sure of your pathway to be clear of any obstruction or slippery surfaces when carrying substrate from one point to another to prevent slipping, tripping or losing balance causing fall and injury to oneself or other people in area.
