By putting the bolt in the pivot hole closest to the handle the Jamb Gripper will grip material ranging from 1.0” to 1.5”. The middle pivot hole is designed for material thickness of .50 inches to 1.0 inches and the last hole allows for gripping material .125 inches to .50 inches The Jamb Gripper should be checked periodically to make sure that all of the nuts and bolts are tight. The hinged shoe and the movable shoe should be kept clean and free from debris. Do not lift beyond your capacity or your company policy, the Jamb Gripper is designed as a lifting aid by Nupro Products, LLC.

The Jamb Gripper is compression grip tool used to manually lift and carry loads in a safe and efficient
manner*.
The Jamb Gripper is designed as an aid for two person lifts and should only used in
compliance with local lifting rules or policies.
Manually lifting the grip to its stopping point provides clamping force ratios of 6 to 1 given all conditions are met.
The clamping force of the Jamb Gripper is approximately 750 lbs.
The lift handle, ramp and cam bolt provide a fulcrum to maximize gripping force.
The clamps make surface contact and apply pressure to the substrate to make it easy to lift and move the substrates to desired locations.
Attached to the clamping plates is an anti-slip material used to create friction and aid the gripping process.
Once the handle grip is pushed down (loosened) the clamping pressure is released and the device is disengaged completely.
The Jamb Gripper *Maximum Weight Capacity of single unit is 150 lbs and includes a 2:1 safety factor. When two Jamb Grippers are used in conjunction the lift capacity is 300 lbs.
Safe use requires the following conditions: Clamping on a clean, smooth, surface area with a minimum of 75% contact on the gripping area The cam bolt should maintain contact with the incline on the clamping plates throughout the clamping process.
Many factors can impact the lifting capacity of the Jamb Gripper. These factors include but are not limited to:
This tool doesn’t eliminate the need to use common sense.
Use the Jamb Gripper on clean and relatively smooth surfaces. Temperature will not impede the function of the Jamb Gripper, but temperature can affect the substrates. Be sure to understand the properties of the substrates to be gripped and lifted before attempting to use Jamb Gripper to avoid damage.
Moisture or contaminants can reduce the slip resistance of the Jamb Gripper. The Jamb Gripper may be used at any elevation.
Attach the Jamb Gripper by following the instructions supplied
OEM components can be found by contacting Nupro Products.
Service regularly, tightening all nuts and bolts and make sure the Jamb Gripper clamping shoes are
clean and the gripping surfaces is clean and free of defects. The surfaces are very durable and to
extend the longevity of the Jamb Gripper. It should be cleaned with soap and water only; do not use
abrasives or solvents as this may damage the clamping shoes.
The grips should be replaced with OEM grips when wear is evident. The grips are an important part of
the Jamb Gripper and should be kept clean and intact. Using non OEM grips or improperly
maintained grips could result in injury or product damage.
